When you are planning your vacation, you may want to consider taking it in the United States. This has nothing to do with the cost; while it is cheaper to travel within the country than to go abroad, there are a number of wonderful places to go in your own country that you may have overlooked.

New York City

Theater, sports, museums, shopping, national landmarks, world history - New York City has it all. You can stay in midtown and travel uptown or downtown, or to one of the four other boroughs. If you want to save money, stay in Brooklyn or Queens and take the subway into Manhattan.

Southern California

If you are looking for a warm weather winter destination that has it all, then Southern California is the place to go. Whether you prefer the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, the fun and excitement of Disneyland or the beautiful beaches of San Diego, there is nothing like a Southern California vacation.

Miami, Florida

Have some fun in the sun and go swimming or surfing in Miami. If you are not into surfing or swimming, you still can admire the city’s unique architecture, its thriving cultural scene and nightlife including scores of authentic Cuban restaurants and musical acts.

Colorado

If you want to take advantage of the cold weather, there is no better place than in Colorado. After walking around the urban setting of Denver, take a trip into the mountains to go skiing in Aspen and Boulder or simply sit around and enjoy the fire.
